Track Facts
Silverstone started life as one of many surplus airfields left after the Second World War. Located just outside the village of Silverstone and straddling the Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire counties, it hosted its first race on 2nd October 1948. The track went through changes resulting in a different layout for 2010.
